DUE TO THE RECENT SPIKE IN CORONA VIRUS CASES IN THE SAN MARCOS AREA, WE MUST, UNFORTUNATELY, REVERT BACK TO PHASE 1 RE-OPENING
WHICH MEANS THE FOLLOWING, EFFECTIVE 06-22-2020 :
- MEMBERS ONLY– IF YOU HAVEN’T PAID THE $100/YEAR FEE, OR WON A MEMBERSHIP IN A TOURNAMENT OR RAFFLE, THEN YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER.
- RESERVED TEE-TIMES, 7- DAYS A WEEK WILL BE REQUIRED, BOOK TEE-TIMES BELOW.
- EACH MEMBER IS ALLOWED ONLY 1 GUEST PER MEMBER, THAT INCLUDES WALKERS/SPECTATORS
- NO MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE TO A CARD, INCLUDING WALKERS/SPECTATORS
- PLEASE MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING- AT LEAST SIX FEET– FROM OTHERS NOT IN YOUR GROUP
- FACE MASKS OR SOME TYPE OF FACE COVERING IS REQUIRED IN THE PRO SHOP !
We are very sorry that we have to do this, turning people away was definitely NOT part of our business model. 
However, we feel it is a necessity to act in the best interest of public safety in these trying times. Hopefully, this will be over sometime soon, and we will once again welcome everyone with open arms. Until then, stay safe, stay healthy, and we hope we see you soon.

The Flying Armadillo Disc Golf Club is a full service disc golf venue located in San Marcos, TX. We are a short drive from Austin, San Antonio, and the neighboring hillcountry cities, and just a few miles from the Texas State University campus.
The Flying Armadillo features a family friendly 18-hole par 2 Gold Mini Course and an 18-hole ~6000′ Big Course. With blue, white, and red tees, this course is fun for players of all skill levels.
We are open to the public 7 days a week, from 7am-10pm. Daily greens fees are $5 for unlimited play on both courses (children 12 and under play free when accompanied by an adult).
Night golf on the mini course can be scheduled by calling 936-443-9554.
DIRECTIONS: Enter Flying Armadillo Disc Golf in your Google GPS for accurate directions, or… Exit I-35 onto Aquarena Springs and head toward the Texas State University campus for .8 miles, take a right on Post Rd and go .4 miles, then left on Lime Kiln Rd for 3 miles and another left on Hilliard Rd for 3.3 miles. The courses will be on the left at the intersection of Hilliard Rd and Owl Hollow Rd.

Memberships: Annual Memberships available for $100/Year. Covers Greens Fees and provides discounts in the Pro Shop and on Camping. More Information Below
Camping: $10 for adults/$5 for Kids 12 and under.
Firewood: $10/per night Unlimited Firewood.

Courses
18 Hole Mini Course
Ranked #34 in the world on Udisc. Think putt-putt for disc golf!… Throwing around unique obstacles, sculptures and yard-art is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. With these holes averaging 100′ in length, this course is perfect for beginners and kids. Test your skills on holes like the pond hole, the tank hole, the sign hole, and the Alamo hole. Don’t let the length fool you, these holes will test even the most skilled disc golfers approach and putting game. It’s also a great warm up for the big course!
18 Hole Big Course
Ranked 84th in the world on Udisc.The big course allows you to stretch your arm out as you traverse the beautiful Texas hill country terrain. Huge oak trees, dry creek beds, and continual elevation change guarantee each hole to be unique and require a wide array of shot selection. Accommodating to all skill levels with Advanced, Intermediate & Novice tee boxes. Holes have concrete tee pads and Houck signs.
Events at the Flying Armadillo
Weekly Events:
Every Friday Night starting approximately around Sundown…. Friday Night Lights (Better than than the TV show).
Get together and compete in a night-round on the mini course (Don’t worry the baskets are lit up…. sometimes).
Bring your glow-tape and a flashlight, don’t forget your Flying Armadillo Bag Tag if you have one. The Pro Shop Has you covered if you forget your tape or light!
Make sure to get there 30 minutes before sundown to get signed up AND warmed up.
$5 entry for the tourney. Lowest 3 scores payout. $5 Greens Fees for Non-Members.
Optional: $5 Ace Pot for the most aces in the group. Ties decided by a throw off from the Top of the Tower CTP.
Sunday Morning BAG Tag Round
Come out early to Disc Golf Church at 9:30 AM every Sunday to particpate in the Flying Armadillo Bag Tag Round
Compete with other Bag Tag Holders for the lowest number Bag Tag and a whole lot of bragging rights.
Signups Start at 9:00AM and tee-off at 9:30 AM
Tags are handed back at the end of the round based on final scores. Lowest Score gets the lowest tag entered in the round.
Tags can be purchased from the Pro Shop for $10 so you can get in on the action.

Camping
Primitive camping is available year round for $10/adult per night. $5/per child under 12 years old. Members get 50% off camping fees.
The main camping area is located in the middle of the short course and has a large fire pit to help you stay warm on those cold winter nights.
Be sure to take advantage of the solar lit baskets on the short course and play disc golf well into the night.
Great for birthday parties, bachelor parties & company outings!
- Bring your own firewood, or purchase unlimited firewood from us for $10/night.
- Camping area does not have running water or power at this time, but both are available at the pro shop area roughly 150ft away.
- RVs are welcome.
Pro Shop
The Flying Armadillo Pro Shop is stocked full of your favorite disc golf gear.
The air-conditioned/heated space is the perfect spot to recharge in between rounds and chit-chat about what’s new in the disc golf world. There is also a covered deck area to hang out at outside the shop complete with games and entertainment.
